Webkinz Tips for NewbiesContributed by our resident Webkinz expert, staffer Kim M.Registering and Getting StartedWhen a user first adopts her Webkinz interactive pet, she goes online to the Webkinz Adoption Center (click on "new user") and enters the special registration code that comes with each Webkinz pet. She is then greeted by Mrs. Birdie, a cute penguin, who assists her with registering her pet into its very own online playground.
After she has finished registering with Mrs. Birdie, she can go to her very own room, where she is given a welcome balloon, a food item, and even a piece of furniture to start creating her room with. Fun Things to do in Webkinz WorldOnce she is in the wonderful world of Webkinz, she has many choices of activities to choose from. There is a whole section entitled “Things to Do,” where she can play lots of different games in the arcade, along with a “Tournament Arena” where she can challenge other Webkinz owners to games. I was recently playing, in Atlanta, with my cousin from Wisconsin, and we had such a fun time together. First, we played a game called “Webkinz Chef Challenge” where both of us got to pick from several different options of food, and then we served it to the Webkinz judges, who are other Webkinz pets, and they judged us based on our selections. It was really a blast just being on the phone and playing with my cousin, who I only see about once every two years, and getting to interact with her through the Webkinz site. We played several different types of games, and we were so entertained that I didn't realize we had been playing for an hour. It's really so much fun that the time just flew by. "You're Naked!"While we were playing, my cousin also invited me into her room, which she had decorated in a really cute way. By the way, she's a white poodle named Amy, and I'm a pink pig named Priscilla. When she invited me into her room, I noticed she was wearing striped pants and a red cowboy hat. I, on the other hand, didn't realize that I needed to buy my pet clothes, so when I entered her room, she started screaming, ”You're naked, you're naked!” Feeling rather embarrassed, I immediately went to the “W-Shop” and bought some clothing for Priscilla, and Amy was much happier.Virtual Grandmother I heard recently about a grandmother who would invite all four of her grandchildren onto her Webkinz site every Sunday. The children live all over the US, so it was nice quality time with their grandma. She even had her Webkinz room all decorated like her house! Webkinz pets are fun interactive toys that you can play with alone or with fellow friends who share the Webkinz passion. See you in Webkinz World!
